The Schneider XCSPA791 is a robust safety interlock switch designed to enhance the safety of machinery by ensuring that dangerous movements and functions are halted when an access door or guard is opened. This compact and durable device is crafted from high-quality plastic and features a key-operated turret head for reliable operation. With a double-insulated construction, the XCSPA791 offers a positive opening with NC (Normally Closed) contacts, ensuring a high level of safety for operators. The switch is engineered to withstand over 1 million cycles, demonstrating its mechanical durability and suitability for frequent use in industrial environments. The XCSPA791 is equipped with a cable entry tapped for Pg 11 and can accommodate cable outer diameters ranging from 7 to 10 mm. Its electrical connection is designed for terminal clamping with a capacity of 1 x 0.5...2 x 1.5 mm², with or without cable end, providing flexibility for various installation requirements. This safety switch operates with slow-break, simultaneous contact operation and has a minimum actuation speed of 0.01 m/s and a maximum of 0.5 m/s. It is vibration resistant up to 5 gn (10...500 Hz) and shock resistant up to 10 gn for 11 ms, both conforming to IEC standards. The switch's dimensions are 30 mm in depth, 94 mm in height, and 30 mm in width, with a net weight of 0.11 kg, making it a compact solution for machine safety applications. The IP67 degree of protection ensures that the switch is dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water, providing reliable performance in various environmental conditions.
