The Schneider A9MEM3555 iEM3555 is a DIN rail-mounted electronic energy meter from the Acti9 iEM3000 range. Designed for sub-metering, partial metering and multi-tariff applications, it measures active, reactive and apparent energy, as well as active and reactive power, current and voltage. It supports single-phase and three-phase electrical networks and uses Rogowski coil inputs for measuring currents from 50 to 5,000 A.

An integrated LCD provides clear local readings, while Modbus RTU communication over RS485 enables connection to building and energy-management systems. The meter includes four-tariff capability, one digital input and one static digital output. With Class 0.5S active-energy accuracy, a compact 90 mm-wide enclosure and clip-on DIN rail mounting, the A9MEM3555 is well suited to detailed energy monitoring in commercial and industrial electrical installations.

What type of device is this?

It is an electronic energy meter designed for electrical monitoring, sub-billing, partial metering and multi-tariff applications.

Which electrical network configurations can it monitor?

The meter supports single-phase plus neutral, three-phase, and three-phase plus neutral configurations.

What electrical values does the meter measure?

It measures voltage, current, active and reactive power, plus active, reactive and apparent energy. Signed four-quadrant energy measurement is supported.

What type of current sensor does it use?

The A9MEM3555 uses Rogowski coil inputs and supports a measurement current range from 50 A to 5,000 A.

What is the rated voltage range?

The supported rated voltage ranges are 100–277 V with a tolerance of ±20%, and 173–480 V with a tolerance of ±20%.

Does it support both 50 Hz and 60 Hz networks?

Yes. The meter is suitable for electrical networks operating at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz.

What communication interface is provided?

It provides Modbus RTU communication through an RS485 screw-terminal connection. Supported communication rates are 9.6, 19.2 and 38.4 kbaud, with even, odd or no parity.

How many tariff levels are supported?

The meter supports four tariffs, allowing energy consumption to be recorded across different tariff periods.

Does it include digital input and output channels?

Yes. It has one digital input and one static digital output. The output operates from 5 to 40 V DC at up to 50 mA.

What accuracy class does it provide?

The A9MEM3555 provides Class 0.5S accuracy for active energy measurement in accordance with IEC 62053-22 and ANSI C12.20.
