The Schneider A9C33811 is an Acti9 iTLc impulse relay designed for centralised control of electrical circuits. It features a single-pole, normally open contact rated at 16 A and an operating voltage of 250 V AC. Its 230–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz control coil responds to impulses from push-buttons, enabling both remote and manual switching. The compact 18 mm-wide housing mounts on a DIN rail and includes a local ON/OFF status indicator. Suitable for demanding control applications, the relay supports up to five switching operations per minute and operates in ambient temperatures from -20°C to 50°C.

What type of electrical device is this?

It is an Acti9 iTLc impulse relay designed for centralised control of an electrical circuit using momentary control impulses.

What is the relay's rated current?

The relay has a rated current of 16 A.

What operational voltage does the relay support?

The A9C33811 has a rated operational voltage of 250 V AC at 50/60 Hz.

What control voltage is required?

Its coil requires a control voltage of 230–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz.

What contact configuration does it have?

The relay has one pole with one normally open contact, commonly described as 1P and 1 NO.

How is the relay operated?

It can be operated remotely using a push-button and also provides manual control. Each control impulse changes the state of the relay contact.

What control impulse duration is accepted?

The accepted impulse duration ranges from 50 milliseconds to 1 second.

How frequently can the relay be switched?

The specified switching frequency is up to five operations per minute and 100 operations per day.

How is the device mounted?

It is designed for fixed installation on a standard DIN rail and occupies two 9 mm modules.

What are the device dimensions?

The relay measures 84 mm high, 18 mm wide and 60 mm deep.

Does the relay provide local status indication?

Yes. It includes a local ON/OFF indication so that the contact state can be checked at the device.

What is its expected electrical endurance?

The specified electrical endurance is 200,000 cycles for AC-21 utilisation and 100,000 cycles for AC-22 utilisation.

Which conductor sizes can be connected?

The control terminals accept one rigid conductor from 0.5 to 4 mm² or one flexible conductor from 1 to 4 mm². The power terminals accept one rigid or flexible conductor from 1.5 to 4 mm².

What cable preparation and terminal torque are specified?

Conductors should have an 11 mm stripping length, and the specified terminal tightening torque is 1 N·m.

What environmental temperatures can it withstand?

The operating temperature range is -20°C to 50°C, while the storage temperature range is -40°C to 70°C.

What ingress protection rating does it provide?

The device is rated IP20 when open and IP40 when installed within a suitable enclosure.

Can it be used for centralised lighting control?

Yes. Its impulse-operated contact and push-button control make it suitable for centralised switching arrangements, including lighting circuits, provided the circuit remains within the stated electrical ratings.

Which accessories are compatible with the relay?

A9C33811 is compatible with selected Acti9 accessories, including iATL4, iATLs, iATLz, iETL iTL 16, iATLc+c and iATL24 devices.
