This compact EtherCAT Terminal integrates seamlessly into a variety of industrial automation systems, offering a single-channel motion interface for high-performance applications. Engineered for use with permanent magnet-excited three-phase synchronous motors, the EL7211-9014 is capable of handling motors from the AM8100 series up to 4.5 A (Irms). Its One Cable Technology (OCT) simplifies installation by combining motor and feedback cables into one, reducing wiring effort and enhancing system reliability. The servo drive boasts advanced features such as field-oriented current and PI speed control, which support rapid and highly dynamic positioning tasks. It also includes comprehensive monitoring capabilities to ensure operational reliability by tracking parameters like overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, terminal temperature, and motor load through an I²T model. With EtherCAT as the high-performance system communication and CAN-over-EtherCAT (CoE) as the application layer, the EL7211-9014 ensures optimal interfacing with PC-based control technology. The latest power semiconductors minimise power loss and enable energy regeneration during braking.
