Panasonic DP-102 is a compact dual-display digital pressure sensor for monitoring gauge pressure in non-corrosive gas applications. Designed as the high-pressure model in the DP-100 series, it covers a rated range of -0.100 to +1.000 MPa (settable to -0.101 to +1.010 MPa) and features a clear dual 4-digit, 3-colour LCD that allows the current pressure value and threshold settings to be viewed simultaneously for quicker set-up and verification. The unit operates on 12 to 24 V DC and provides transistor comparative outputs with selectable NO/NC operation and multiple control modes, including EASY, hysteresis and window comparator, with a user-selectable response time from 2.5 ms up to 5,000 ms. With an IP40 enclosure and a pressure port arrangement suited to industrial pneumatic installations, the DP-102 is commonly used for pressure monitoring, process checks and alarm signalling in automated air and gas systems.

What does this sensor do?

It is a dual-display digital pressure sensor for monitoring gauge pressure in non-corrosive gas lines. It measures pressure and switches one or two transistor outputs when your set thresholds are reached.

What pressure range is it designed for?

This model is the high-pressure type in the DP-100 series, with a rated pressure range of -0.100 to +1.000 MPa (gauge). The displayable/settable range typically extends to about -0.101 to +1.010 MPa, depending on unit selection and variant.

Which media can be used with it?

It is intended for non-corrosive gases. It is not intended for liquids or corrosive gases.

Is the pressure measured as gauge or absolute?

Gauge pressure.

What supply voltage does it require?

12 to 24 V DC (±10%), with ripple P-P 10% or less.

What kind of outputs does it have?

It provides comparative (switch) outputs using an open-collector transistor design. Output type depends on the exact variant (for example, some versions are PNP open-collector, others are NPN open-collector).

Can the switch output be set as normally open or normally closed?

Yes. The comparative output operation can be set to N.O. or N.C. via the front keys (variant-dependent, but this is a standard feature in the DP-100 family including DP-102).

What output modes are available?

Common switching modes include EASY mode (simple ON/OFF), Hysteresis mode, and Window comparator mode, allowing single-threshold control or upper/lower window control.

How fast is the sensor response?

The output response time is selectable. Typical settings include 2.5 ms, 5 ms, 10 ms, 25 ms, 50 ms, 100 ms, 250 ms, 500 ms, 1,000 ms, and 5,000 ms.

Which pressure units can be displayed?

The high-pressure type supports multiple selectable units, commonly including MPa, kPa, kgf/cm², bar, and psi (exact unit availability can vary by region/variant).

Does it have a zero-adjust function?

Yes. A zero-adjust (zero reset) function is provided to set the displayed value to zero when the pressure port is open to atmosphere, helping to compensate for minor offsets.

What is the display like?

It uses a dual (main/sub) digital display so you can view the current pressure and a set value at the same time. The main display is a 3-colour type to improve status visibility during operation and setting.

Does it offer any power-saving features?

Yes. An ECO mode is available to reduce power consumption by dimming the display or turning the display off, depending on the ECO setting.

What is the pressure port connection?

Port style depends on the specific regional/variant configuration. Common configurations in this family include an M5 female thread combined with a parallel pipe thread adapter (such as G 1/8 for many European versions).

How is it wired/connected?

It is commonly supplied as a connector type using a 4-core connector cable assembly on many versions. Some variants use an M8 plug-in style connector. Confirm the exact connection style from the full model suffix on the label.

What is the enclosure protection rating?

Typical protection rating for the DP-100 series body is IP40 (IEC), intended for use inside panels or protected locations.

Can I lock the keys to prevent accidental changes?

Yes. A key lock function is available to prevent unintended setting changes during operation.

What accessories are commonly used with it?

Common accessories in the DP-100 family include connector/cable assemblies, mounting brackets (including panel-mount options), and front protection covers. Accessory choice depends on how you plan to mount and cable the sensor.
