SICK 1052595 (model S30A-7111CL) is an S3000 PROFINET IO Advanced laser scanner designed for reliable area monitoring in automated industrial environments. With a 190° scanning angle and configurable resolution options (30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 70 mm, or 150 mm), it supports precise detection to suit different application requirements. The device provides a 7 m protective field range and up to 49 m warning field range (typ. 20 m at 20% remission), with a typical response time of 60 ms depending on configuration.

This variant integrates PROFINET with PROFIsafe communication and uses a fibre-optic bus connection (dual SCRJ push-pull ports). It is intended for networked operation via a suitable control system and does not feature local inputs/outputs. The scanner operates on 24 V DC (16.8–28.8 V DC), draws up to 0.8 A (at 24 V DC without output load), and is housed in an IP65-rated aluminium die-cast enclosure with a scratch-resistant polycarbonate front window. Dimensions are 155 mm × 185 mm × 160 mm, with an approximate weight of 3.3 kg. Please note: this unit is supplied as a sensor without a system plug, which must be ordered separately.

What does this laser scanner do in an automation system?

This device monitors configurable protective and warning zones using a 2D laser scan. It is commonly used to detect the presence of people or objects within defined areas and communicate the status to a controller over an industrial network.

Which network interface does it use?

It integrates into a PROFINET network with a PROFIsafe profile, operating as a PROFINET IO device with an integrated 2-port real-time switch.

Does it have local hardwired inputs and outputs?

No. This PROFINET IO variant has no local inputs/outputs and is intended to be used exclusively within a networked system with an appropriate controller.

What type of PROFINET physical connection is used?

This version uses fibre optic PROFINET (100Base-FX) via two SCRJ push-pull sockets.

What is the protective field range and warning field range?

The protective field range is up to 7 m. The warning field range can be up to 49 m (typically up to 20 m at 20% remission).

What scanning angle does it cover?

It provides a scanning angle of 190°.

What selectable resolutions are available?

Selectable resolutions include 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 70 mm, and 150 mm (configurable).

What is the typical response time?

The response time is 60 ms, depending on the basic response time settings and evaluation parameters.

How many field sets and monitoring tasks can be used?

It supports dual field sets with 4 field set areas, 8 fields in total, and up to 4 monitoring tasks, with up to 2 protective fields monitored simultaneously.

What power supply is required and what is the current consumption?

It operates on 24 V DC (16.8 V DC to 28.8 V DC). Current consumption is up to 0.8 A at 24 V DC without output load.

Is a system plug required and is it included?

A system plug is required for operation and must be ordered separately. The integrated configuration memory is located in the system plug; for example, one compatible option is the SX1A-A0000L (the scanner itself is the sensor without the system plug).

What environmental protection rating does it have?

The enclosure is rated IP65.

What are the operating and storage temperature ranges?

Operating ambient temperature is −10 °C to +50 °C. Storage temperature is −25 °C to +50 °C.

What are the dimensions and weight?

Approximate dimensions are 155 mm x 185 mm x 160 mm, and the weight is about 3.3 kg.

What is the housing and window material?

The housing is aluminium die-cast (RAL 1021 colour). The front screen is polycarbonate with a scratch-resistant coated outer surface.
