The Hirschmann RS2-4TX/1FX is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet rail switch designed to enhance network connectivity in demanding environments. This robust switch supports both Ethernet (10 Mbit/s) and Fast-Ethernet (100 Mbit/s) with a store and forward switching mode, ensuring efficient data transmission. It features four 10/100BASE-TX ports with RJ45 sockets, offering auto-crossing, auto-negotiation, and auto-polarity capabilities, alongside one 100BASE-FX port with SC sockets for multimode fibre connections. Engineered for reliability, the RS2-4TX/1FX operates within a wide temperature range of -40 ºC to +70 ºC and is built to withstand harsh conditions with an IP 20 protection class. Its compact design, measuring 47 mm x 135 mm x 111 mm, allows for easy installation on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. The switch supports redundant 24 V power supply inputs, enhancing network resilience. With a maximum power consumption of 5.4 W at 24 V DC and a current consumption of up to 220 mA, this switch is energy-efficient. It also includes diagnostic LEDs for power, link status, data, and error monitoring, as well as a signal contact for fault relay. The RS2-4TX/1FX is an ideal choice for industrial applications requiring reliable and straightforward network expansion.
