It is a Yaskawa Sigma-5 AC servo drive designed to regulate the position, speed and torque of a compatible servo motor in precision motion-control applications.
The drive is intended for compatible 100 W servo motors. The motor and drive ratings should be matched before installation.
The SGDV-R90A01A uses a single-phase 200 to 230 V AC main and control supply, with a permitted range of +10% to -15% at 50 or 60 Hz.
The continuous output current is 0.91 A RMS, while the maximum output current is approximately 2.9 A RMS.
This model is the analogue voltage and pulse-train reference version. It can accept position pulse commands as well as analogue speed and torque references.
Compatible 100 W motor families include selected Yaskawa SGMJV, SGMAV, SGMEV, SGMAH and SGMPH models. The complete motor code, encoder type, voltage and cable arrangement must be checked for compatibility.
The drive supports position, speed and torque control. It also permits switching between selected control modes when the application is configured accordingly.
The unit measures approximately 40 mm wide, 140 mm high and 160 mm deep, equivalent to about 1.57 x 5.51 x 6.29 inches.
The servo drive has a base-mounted design for installation inside an industrial control enclosure. Adequate clearance and ventilation should be maintained around the unit.
The drive accepts serial encoder feedback from compatible incremental or absolute encoder-equipped servo motors. An appropriate battery arrangement is required when retaining absolute encoder position data.
Supported position command formats include sign plus pulse train, clockwise and counter-clockwise pulse trains, and two-phase pulses with a 90-degree phase difference.
The command pulse input supports frequencies up to 4 Mpps with a line-driver signal. Open-collector operation is limited to a lower maximum frequency.
The specified operating temperature range is 0 to 55°C, with non-condensing humidity of up to 90% RH. Installation altitude should be no more than 1,000 metres above sea level.
Typical uses include packaging machinery, printing equipment, electronic assembly systems, machine tools, semiconductor equipment and other automated systems requiring accurate positioning and responsive motion.
