Just months into my role at EU Automation, I quickly developed a significant relationship with one of Asia’s leading aluminium rolling mills. In September 2023, they faced a critical breakdown that halted production, urgently requiring a Siemens part to be delivered by the 29th of September, coinciding with scheduled visits from overseas engineers.
In what seemed like a cruel twist of fate, a logistics mix-up by third-party couriers sent the critical part bound for Thailand to the wrong country. The clock was ticking and failure wasn't an option. My customer needed this component without delay and failure to deliver on time would have severely disrupted their production schedule.

Recognising the urgency, I assembled our team for rapid action. We pivoted quickly, coordinating with the third-party courier to reroute the correct part directly from the US, ensuring a just-in-time arrival with the customer on the 29th of September. My customer was very grateful for being kept up to date throughout and was reassured by our reactivity to the unforeseen hurdles in our way.
Our quick, adaptable response helped to resolve the immediate crisis faced by the customer within the required timeframe. They expressed profound satisfaction with our transparent, efficient handling of a challenging situation, underscoring their trust in our team.
