The Beckhoff CX8050 is a versatile Embedded PC designed for seamless integration into industrial automation systems. Equipped with a CANopen master interface, this controller excels in managing complex communication tasks within a network. It supports both CANopen and CAN-Layer-2 communication, providing flexibility for various applications. The CX8050 is compatible with K-bus or E-bus terminals, automatically detecting the connected system during start-up. Powered by an ARM9 processor running at 400 MHz, the CX8050 ensures efficient processing capabilities. It features 512 MB of flash memory, expandable via a microSD card, and 64 MB of internal RAM. The device is programmed through an Ethernet interface, supporting TwinCAT PLC programming languages in accordance with IEC 61131-3 standards. The CX8050 also offers web visualisation, online change capabilities, and code up/downloading, enhancing its usability in dynamic environments. With a robust design, it includes a D-sub connector for the bus interface, galvanically decoupled for reliable operation. The device is equipped with an internal battery-backed clock for time and date management, and a 1-second UPS for data persistence. Operating on Microsoft Windows Embedded CE 6, the CX8050 supports web-based management, making it a powerful and adaptable solution for modern industrial automation needs.
