What type of electrical component is this?

It is a miniature circuit-breaker designed for distribution applications. Schneider 60127 is part of the Multi9 C60 range and uses a thermal-magnetic trip unit to help protect circuits against overloads and short-circuit conditions.

How many poles does this circuit-breaker have?

This model is a 1-pole miniature circuit-breaker with one protected pole, making it suitable for single-pole circuit protection arrangements.

What is the rated current?

The rated current is 10 A at 25 °C, which means it is intended for circuits where a 10 ampere protective rating is required.

What trip curve does this model use?

It uses a D curve. D curve breakers are typically selected where higher inrush currents may be present, such as some inductive or transformer-based loads, provided the overall installation design is suitable.

What is the breaking capacity?

The breaking capacity depends on the voltage and standard being applied. It is rated at 10 kA AIR at 120 V AC to UL 489, 5 kA AIR at 240 V AC to UL 489, and 10 kA Icu at 240 V AC to EN/IEC 60947-2.

Can it be used on AC and DC circuits?

Yes. The datasheet lists AC and DC network compatibility, with rated operational voltages including 120 V AC, 240 V AC and 60 V DC.

What mounting method does it use?

This circuit-breaker is designed for clip-on mounting to a DIN rail, making it suitable for standard modular electrical panel layouts.

What are the physical dimensions?

The unit measures approximately 107 mm high, 18 mm wide and 73 mm deep. It occupies two 9 mm modular pitches.

What type of terminals does it have?

It uses tunnel-type terminals for top or bottom connection. The listed conductor range is 2.5 to 25 mm², equivalent to approximately AWG 14 to AWG 4 for rigid conductors.

What tightening torque should be used for the terminals?

The specified terminal tightening torque is 2.5 N.m, or 22.13 lbf.in, for top or bottom connections.

Does it include an indication of contact position?

Yes. It has a contact position indicator and ON/OFF local signalling, helping users identify the breaker state from the front of the device.

Is it suitable for isolation?

Yes. Schneider 60127 is listed as suitable for isolation in accordance with EN/IEC 60947-2.

What standards and certifications are associated with this breaker?

The listed standards include EN/IEC 60947-2, UL 489, CSA C22.2 No. 5 and GB 14048.2. Product certifications listed include UL, CSA, IEC and CCC.

What is the operating temperature range?

The operating ambient temperature range is -30 °C to 70 °C. The storage temperature range is -40 °C to 80 °C.

What ingress protection rating is listed?

The device is rated IP20 on its own in accordance with IEC 60529, and IP40 when installed in a suitable modular enclosure.

What is the expected mechanical and electrical endurance?

The listed mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles, and the listed electrical durability is 10,000 cycles.
