In late 2024, severe flooding devastated the Romagna region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Among the businesses significantly impacted was one of my valued customers. A leading producer of home care products in Italy since 1977. Their facility was completely flooded overnight between the 19th and 20th of October, halting production and putting their operations at serious risk.
The flooding had a catastrophic impact, damaging essential equipment and completely disrupting production. Immediate action was critical if the company was going to survive: the customer urgently required 11 replacement motors to restart production lines and minimise further losses.
As hours threatened to stretch into days, it seemed that there was no hope of them sourcing the sheer amount of equipment needed to recover from such an unforeseen disaster.

Upon first hearing about my customer's situation, I initially questioned whether such a large task would be possible.
