The Siemens 5SL4210-8 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker designed for reliable circuit protection in residential, commercial and infrastructure electrical installations. This 2-pole device is rated at 10 A with a D tripping characteristic, making it suitable for circuits with higher inrush currents while maintaining dependable overload and short-circuit protection. It supports 400 V AC operation at 50/60 Hz and provides a rated switching capacity of 10 kA in accordance with EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2. Built for DIN rail mounting, the 5SL4210-8 has a compact 2-module width with dimensions of 90 mm high, 36 mm wide and 76 mm deep. It features IP20 protection when conductors are connected, screw-type terminals with a tightening torque range of 2.5 to 3 Nm, and accepts solid, stranded or finely stranded conductors with core end processing from 0.75 mm² up to 25 mm². The unit is halogen-free, silicon-free and sealable, with provision for installable supplementary devices. Its robust mechanical design offers a typical service life of 10,000 operating cycles and an operating temperature range from -25 °C to +55 °C, making it a practical choice for dependable low-voltage distribution applications.
