The Pilz 773731, also known as PNOZ mc9p Profinet IO, is a communication module from the PNOZmulti Classic range designed for integration with configurable control systems. It provides a PROFINET IO fieldbus interface via a single RJ45 connection and supports a transfer rate of 100 Mbit/s in full or half duplex mode. The module operates as a fieldbus slave and enables data exchange using virtual inputs and outputs, supporting 24/128 bit input and 24/128 bit output configurations. Designed for DIN rail mounting, the 773731 features a compact 22.5 mm housing with IP20 enclosure protection, making it suitable for control cabinet installations. Power is supplied internally via the base unit, reducing additional wiring requirements. The module is built for industrial environments, with an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 °C, approved electrical isolation for the fieldbus connection, and compliance with recognised standards for EMC, vibration, shock and environmental performance. With approvals including CE, cULus Listed, TÜV, CCC, KCC, KOSHA and EAC, the Pilz 773731 is a practical choice for connecting PNOZmulti Classic systems to PROFINET IO networks in automated machinery and industrial control applications.
