Schneider A9C15404 is an Acti9 iATLc centralised control auxiliary designed for use with compatible Acti9 iTL impulse relays. It enables remote switching control through two switch inputs and operates with a 24 to 240 V AC 50/60 Hz impulse control circuit, making it suitable for lighting and electrical control arrangements where grouped or remote actuation is required.

The unit mounts fixed on the right-hand side of a TL device and is designed for DIN rail installation with a compact 9 mm module width. It features tunnel terminals for rigid and flexible conductors, a rated insulation voltage of 440 V, and a 4 kV rated impulse withstand voltage. With an IP20 protection rating and an operating temperature range of -20 to 50 °C, the A9C15404 is a practical auxiliary component for panel-mounted low-voltage control systems.

What type of device is this?

This is an Acti9 iATLc centralised control auxiliary designed for use with Schneider Acti9 impulse relay installations. It enables centralised control functions using impulse commands.

What is the main function of the centralised control auxiliary?

The unit allows an associated Acti9 impulse relay to be controlled from centralised switch inputs, making it suitable for lighting or circuit control arrangements where multiple local and central commands are required.

Which Acti9 devices is it compatible with?

It is intended for use with Acti9 iTL impulse relays, including iTL, iTLi and iTLs ranges. It is also listed as compatible with ITL 16 A and ITL 32 A devices.

Where is the auxiliary mounted?

The auxiliary is mounted on the right-hand side of the associated TL or iTL impulse relay. It is designed for fixed installation on a DIN rail.

What control circuit voltage does it use?

The control circuit voltage is 24 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, using impulse control.

How many switch entries does it provide?

It provides two switch entries for remote control, allowing centralised command inputs to be connected to the auxiliary.

What are the physical dimensions of the unit?

The unit measures 81 mm high, 9 mm wide and 69 mm deep, making it a compact 9 mm pitch Acti9 accessory.

What type of terminals are used?

The auxiliary uses tunnel-type terminals suitable for rigid conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm² and flexible conductors from 1 to 4 mm², with or without cable ends depending on conductor type.

What wire stripping length is required?

The recommended wire stripping length is 11 mm.

What tightening torque should be used on the terminals?

The specified tightening torque is 1 N.m.

What is the rated insulation voltage?

The rated insulation voltage is 440 V.

What is the rated impulse withstand voltage?

The rated impulse withstand voltage is 4 kV.

What environmental conditions is it designed for?

It is designed for operation from -20 °C to 50 °C and storage from -40 °C to 70 °C. It is also rated for 95% relative humidity at 55 °C.

What ingress protection rating does it have?

The unit has an IP20 degree of protection in accordance with IEC 60529.

Which standard is associated with this device?

The device is specified in relation to EN/IEC 60669-2-2, a standard covering particular requirements for electronic switches and related control devices.

What colour is the device?

The device is white, matching the typical appearance of Acti9 modular electrical accessories.

Is it suitable for DIN rail installations?

Yes. It is designed for DIN rail mounting as part of an Acti9 modular electrical assembly.

What overvoltage category does it belong to?

The device is rated as overvoltage category III.

What does the 9 mm width indicate?

The 9 mm width indicates that the auxiliary occupies one 9 mm pitch in a modular DIN rail assembly, helping save space in electrical distribution boards.

Can it be used for centralised lighting control applications?

Yes. When paired with compatible Acti9 impulse relays, it is commonly used in centralised lighting control arrangements where a main command point is required alongside local switching.

  • Centralised switching control for Acti9 iTL impulse relays
  • Remote on/off control of lighting circuits in commercial buildings
  • Multi-point lighting command from wall switches or control panels
  • Integration into DIN rail electrical distribution boards
  • Control of 16 A and 32 A iTL relay installations
  • Building automation panels requiring impulse-based switching
  • Corridor, stairwell and communal area lighting control
  • Electrical panel upgrades where compact 9 mm modular control is required
  • Auxiliary control for lighting contactor and relay arrangements
  • Standardised control of lighting groups across offices, shops and public buildings
