SICK ATM60-D4H13X13 is a rotary absolute encoder for reliable position feedback in industrial automation systems using DeviceNet communication. It provides true absolute position information across power cycles, with a high-resolution measuring system of 8,192 steps per revolution (13-bit) and 8,192 revolutions (13-bit), enabling precise multi-turn position tracking with a fine measuring step of 0.043°.

Designed for robust machine integration, the encoder features a solid stainless-steel shaft (10 mm diameter, 19 mm length) with a face-mount clamping flange and a durable die-cast aluminium housing. With IP67 protection when fitted with the shaft seal, a wide operating temperature range from –20 °C to +85 °C, and resistance to shock and vibration, it is well suited to demanding plant environments.

The DeviceNet interface supports address setting from 0 to 63 and selectable baud rates of 125, 250, or 500 kBaud, with status indicated via a two-colour network LED. It operates from a 10 to 32 V DC supply with low power consumption (≤ 2 W, no load) and includes reverse polarity protection. Bus connection is made via a bus adapter.
