Strong demonstration of EU Automation's commitment to its customers
Leading up European logistics for EU Automation, I’m used to urgent requests but the call I received on the 7th of May was especially critical. At precisely 4.00pm, just one hour before our Frankfurt warehouse was set to close, one of our Sales Managers urgently contacted me. A courier was already on route carrying a spare part essential to maintaining continuous operations for a global offshore energy customer.
The situation was dire: each day of downtime represented a staggering financial loss of €950,000. The original equipment manufacturer couldn’t supply the required part, so they turned to EU Automation for help. The critical nature of their offshore energy infrastructure meant even minor delays had major repercussions. Speed and responsiveness were essential; we had to act immediately to prevent significant operational and financial impact.
"Every additional day of downtime costs our customer €950,000. Knowing this, we worked around the clock to find a solution."

Understanding the urgency, I immediately reached out to our warehouse manager. Despite the late hour and the impending end of the working day, he instantly agreed to stay beyond his scheduled hours. His response was straightforward and inspiring: "It's our duty to support customers during emergencies. Of course I'll stay." At precisely 6.30pm, the courier arrived and thanks to the exceptional dedication of our warehouse team, the spare part was promptly received and processed, ready to continue its journey and ensure the customer's critical operations resumed without delay.
Because of our team’s willingness to extend their working day and prioritise our customers’ urgent needs, we significantly minimised downtime for our client. We successfully protected them from severe operational disruptions and substantial financial losses. This proactive approach not only saved our customer from potential disaster but also reinforced our company's core values. Personally, I am immensely proud to be part of a team that consistently places our customers’ needs above all else. Moments like these remind me why I’m passionate about my role and the incredible people I work alongside every day.
