A reversing contactor is used to change the rotation direction of a three-phase motor by swapping two phases. It’s commonly used where a motor must run forward and reverse, such as conveyors, hoists, pumps with backflush, and positioning systems.
This unit is preassembled as a reversing set with a reversing power busbar and mechanical interlocking, which helps reduce wiring time and panel space compared with building a forward/reverse assembly from two individual contactors.
It is a 3-pole device with 3 normally open (3 NO) main power contacts for switching the motor power circuit.
The control coil is rated 110 V AC at 50/60 Hz. In documentation and markings, this coil version is commonly referenced as LC2D25F7.
For motor switching (AC-3 duty), the rated operational current is 25 A at up to 440 V AC (at 60 °C). For resistive loads (AC-1 duty), it is rated 40 A at up to 440 V AC (at 60 °C).
Typical motor ratings include 5.5 kW at 220–230 V AC, 11 kW at 380–400 V AC, 11 kW at 415–440 V AC, and up to 15 kW at 500 V AC and 660–690 V AC (50/60 Hz), depending on the application and utilisation category.
The power circuit is rated up to 690 V AC (25–400 Hz). It is also rated up to 300 V DC for DC power circuits, where applicable.
It includes auxiliary contacts of 1 NO + 1 NC, suitable for control signalling, interlocks, and status indication within the control circuit.
Yes. The reversing assembly includes mechanical interlocking designed to prevent both directions from being engaged simultaneously.
It is designed for mounting on a DIN rail or on a panel/plate, which helps with flexible installation in control cabinets.
For the control circuit, screw clamp terminals accept typical conductor sizes in the 1–4 mm² range (depending on solid/flexible and whether ferrules are used). For the power circuit, screw clamp terminals accept typical conductor sizes from about 1.5–10 mm² (depending on conductor type and termination method).
The front face is rated IP20, intended for installation inside an enclosure where accidental contact with live parts is controlled.
Typical overall dimensions are approximately 85 mm (height) x 90 mm (width) x 92 mm (depth), with a net weight around 0.787 kg.
