MP Praises Rapidly Expanding Stafford Company
Local MP Jeremy Lefroy visited the Stafford-based company EU Automation on Friday. Although less than three years old, the business has grown quickly and now employs more than 50 people at its offices on the Staffordshire Technology Park.
Mark Proctor, the Managing Director, explained to Mr Lefroy that the company is a leading supplier of industrial automation spare parts to companies around the world. It specialises in sourcing parts which are hard to find and ensures that they are delivered to customers promptly.
At a time when manufacturing businesses do not wish to hold large stocks of spares but when lack of a machinery part can hold up production, EU Automation provides an essential service.
Mr Lefroy said: “I was particularly impressed by the focus on outstanding service to customers. Staff speak with customers in their own language with dedicated teams for each country with which EU Automation. I have long called for more foreign language teaching in our schools. This company’s success shows how important fluent linguists are to British businesses which are increasingly global in their outlook.
“I was also pleased to hear that the company has already taken on two apprentices, both of whom I had the pleasure to meet, and is considering more. I welcome this positive approach to job creation in Stafford.
“The company is a fine example of how business can grow in difficult times through excellent customer service, an international outlook and valuing the skills of its staff.”
