Automation supply chain specialist
European Automation has launched a premium nine-hour delivery service to anywhere in Europe. The ultra fast service is intended for end users where broken components are causing expensive downtime.
PLCs, servo drives, servo motors, HMIs and variable speed drives can be delivered in record time due to the company’s ultra-lean warehousing system, extensive supplier network and far reaching logistics network.
The importance of speed in the automation supply chain has been proven over and over again. European Automation provides components for countless applications, some of which, such as paper and steel mills, can incur six figure downtime costs even in the case of very short stoppages. Furthermore, badly dealt with failures can create a reactive maintenance culture and significant operational reliability problems, including high quality losses.
“In light of recent financial turmoil, lots of manufacturers have stopped stocking sufficient quantities of spare parts,” explains managing director Mark Proctor. “Equally, there are lots of reasons why even the best just in time purchasing system can fail. As a result, we believe that having ultra fast access to the right spares for your application is crucial.”
“We understand how costly and disruptive a breakdown can be and recognise that the manufacturing plant may not always be in the same location or even the same country as the purchasing team or manufacturing director. Our network of preferred partner warehouses, in addition to our own distribution centres, enables us to offer what we believe to be the fastest premium delivery service in the industry. However, there is one other thing that makes it possible: the incredible service ethic of our staff.”
European Automation distributes parts and equipment manufactured by globally recognised names such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, Fanuc, Schneider Electric, Danfoss, Indramat and Guardmaster.
